A family beach shoot…..in winter??!?!?!?

If you are from Vancouver or know anything about Vancouver, you’ll know that our winters consist of grey sky and a bunch of wet stuff. Day…after day…after day. This season however has kind of been an exception. During the holidays and into the new year we had FABULOUS weather. Clear, blue sky and sun sun sun!!!!!! :D A few weeks ago I had scheduled a family photo shoot for mid January, but since the weather was continuing to cooperate we decided to take full advantage and met a bit earlier.

I recently reconnected with an old friend from high school. It had been yeeeeeaaaaarrrrssss since I had seen Lisa and it was so awesome to catch up and reminisce about the good ol’ days. When we got together she asked if she could book me for a family photo shoot and I couldn’t have been more excited. Not only did I get to hang out with her again, but I also got to meet her hubby Wade and their 8 month old son, Eliot. I first met them at their place and it wasn’t long before we headed to Las Vegas. I couldn’t believe that we were actually hanging out at the beach…..in January!!!! I mean it is winter, right?!?!

Wade and Lisa are head over heels in love with their lil’ guy, Eliot. The way the three of them interact and make each other smile is so, so, sooooo adorable. Eliot was really great and patient during our session and he really put up with my crazy actions & sound effects. Well, he and all the other passersby ;)

I don’t think this family can get any cuter….seriously…look at them!!! :D

Thanks for the fun and eventful afternoon you guys ;) It was WONDERFUL seeing you again and I hope we don’t wait as long as before to see each other again.

Well, it is the last day of twenty-ten. Can you believe it?!?! Wooo hoooo!!! Bring on 2011 :D I’m pumped.

At the beginning of December SCM photography participated in the Cans For Comments campaign. Thanks to all of you who commented, checked out my site, and donated a bit of food just ‘cuz :)

I went to the Port Moody food bank this afternoon to donate 43 lbs worth of canned goods. YAY! Thank you, thank you, thank YOU! If you would like to donate at any time, check out their site here.
